A61                 Appointed person:

Course Objectives:  This course is designed for individuals who are required to plan a safe system of work for lifting equipment.  The course will enable candidates to understand the roles and responsibilities of the Appointed Person. Following the successful completion of the course candidates will be able to identify and implement a safe system of work for lifting operations in accordance with LOLER and BS 7121 (series) requirements.

A62                 Crane lift supervisor:

Course Objectives: This course is designed for candidates required to supervise a lifting operation using a safe system of work for lifting equipment. This course will enable candidates to understand the role and responsibility of the Crane Supervisor. On successful completion of the course the candidates will be able to review, understand and follow a safe system of work for a lifting operation including associated risk assessments.

A40A-E            Slinger Signaller (All Duties All types):

Course objectives:  This course is designed to provide underpinning knowledge and practical abilities for personnel who are required to undertake slinging and signalling for the movement of loads using lifting equipment. The course will provide clear information on the approved codes of practice BS7121, LOLER, PUWER, and guidance notes associated with the safe use of cranes and lifting accessories during lifting operations. The course will also provide candidates with the knowledge on how to use the correct methods of communication on site and to ensure the lifting accessories used during lifting operations are suitably checked and serviceable and show appropriate methods of how attachments are made to lift loads safely.

A60A-C            Mobile crane Operator (All Duties):

Course Objective: This course is designed to provide underpinning knowledge and practical for personnel who wish to embark on a career operating mobile cranes. The course will provide understanding of all current legislation HASAWA 1974, PUWER and LOLER, the approved codes of practice and guidance notes associated with the safe use of cranes and lifting accessories. The course will provide candidate with the knowledge and understanding to safely set up and operate a mobile crane as per manufacturer’s instruction and the ability to establish and follow various methods of communication to lift and place loads safely.

Course Objectives:   This course is designed to provide successful candidates with the underpinning knowledge and practical ability to be able to operate an industrial counter-balance forklift truck safely within their working environment

Course Objectives:   This course is designed to provide successful candidates with the underpinning knowledge and practical ability to operate a Rough Terrain Telescopic Forklift safely within their working environment

Course objectives: This course is designed to provide selected delegates with a basic underpinning knowledge of operating rail mounted overhead travelling cranes to enable them to carry out their lifting operations in accordance with statutory legislation and without risk to health, along with passing the appropriate operator tests in accordance with a Nationally Accredited Standard

N 138                Telescopic Handler suspended loads

Course Objectives:   This course is designed to provide successful candidates with the underpinning knowledge and practical ability to operate a Rough Terrain Telescopic Forklift safely within their working environment whilst using fork attachments to conduct underslung load duties

ECITB accredited courses

CCNSG            2 day National Course (Safety Passport)

The CCNSG National Course is a two-day training course in basic site safety. On completion, successful candidates receive a CCNSG Safety Passport. This is the engineering construction industry safety card, which is valid for three years

CCNSG             1 day Renewal Course (safety Passport)

The CCNSG Renewal Course is a one-day refresher course for those who have already completed the CCNSG National Course. Importantly, card holders must renew within three months of the safety passport expiry date or retake the two-day CCNSG National Course

CCNSG            1 day Leading a team safely course (LATS)

The CCNSG Leading a Team Safely is a one day workshop. The course introduces health and safety management within small teams
